South Korean investment in Vietnam will change significantly in the future, towards expanding investment portfolios, spreading around the country, and increasing capital in key industrial sectors and boosting technology transfer to Vietnam. Vietnam-South Korea trade turnover is to rise to $100 billion in 2023 and $150 billion in 2030.

US businesses keen to expand

At a meeting on March 9 between leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) and a business delegation of the US - ASEAN Business Council (USABC), a number of leading US corporations and businesses investing and doing business in Vietnam said they have plans to expand this year. Areas of interest include logistics, technology, high-tech industry, clean energy transformation, digital transformation, and the circular economy, with a focus on sustainable development.
