Middle Eastern countries are considered markets of potential for Vietnam as they have demand for many of its strong products, such as wooden furniture, plastic products, cereals, textiles, and shoes, etc. However, Vietnamese enterprises currently face many difficulties in accessing these markets, such as a lack of information and barriers in logistics and international payments.

Gasoline prices have been continually rising and setting records for the past eight years and will likely continue to do so, creating difficulties for transport businesses and others. To remove the difficulties, the government must identify long-term solutions to limit the use of petroleum, reduce fossil fuel exploitation, and protect the environment.

Livestock enterprises face many difficulties as production stagnates and goods distribution becomes congested. Many small and medium-sized feed factories may go bankrupt, and supply chains are at risk of breaking. Animal husbandry enterprises must also deal with staffing concerns.

In addition to fear of the pandemic disrupting supply chains, rising logistics costs, a serious shortage of containers, congestion at many seaports, and labor shortages are also obstacles directly affecting textile enterprises. If no early solutions are adopted, businesses will be at risk of seeing orders cancelled and operations ceased.
