On July 4, at the regular government meeting for June, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung reported that the macro-economy continued to be stable, GDP growth exceeded the scenario, and inflation remained stable. Development is under control and major balances are secure, which are appreciated by the international community. Production and business activities have recovered quickly. Disbursement of the economic recovery package has reached more than VND48 trillion ($2.054 billion).

Authorized by the Prime Minister, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung presented the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period to the National Assembly on July 24. Total State budget capital for the medium-term public investment in the period is VND2.87 quadrillion ($124.72 billion), which includes VND1.5 quadrillion ($65.17 billion) of central budget capital and VND1.37 quadrillion ($59.55 billion) of local budget capital.
