Four national target programs cover new rural development; sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; cultural development; healthcare, population and development; and the modernisation and improvement of education and training.

The committee shall assist the Prime Minister in directing and resolving general tasks related to the implementation of national target programs in the period of 2021 - 2025.

On the morning of September 26, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a nationwide online conference on accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital and implementing three national target programs. He pointed out shortcomings and difficulties and at the same time encouraged disbursement.
