Exports to Pakistan tipped to decline

Pakistan and Turkey having signed a preferential trade agreement will see Vietnam affected by 13 tariff lines. It is therefore forecast that export turnover to Pakistan will fall by 2 per cent. Exports reached nearly $600 million last year, and bilateral trade is expected to hit $1 billion this year.

Covid-19 has negatively affected Vietnam’s dragon fruit exports to China. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will therefore support businesses to find partners and export the fruit to India and Pakistan - two markets of potential boasting cooperative relations with Vietnam.
