On March 29, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai, construction of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge spanning the Tien River and connecting the Mekong Delta’s Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces with nearby localities officially began. With a length of 17.6 km and total investment of nearly VND5.2 trillion ($226.9 million), the bridge will promote local socio-economic development.

Construction of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge connecting the two Mekong Delta provinces of Ben Tre and Tien Giang with others in Vietnam’s south and with a total length of 17.6 km and a cost of more than VND5 trillion ($218.6 million), will begin on March 29. This is the leading project among eleven key projects for Ben Tre province.
