The General Department of Vietnam Customs has said the average export price of tea from Vietnam is currently $1,781 per ton, only two-thirds of the average global price. However, even this most recent version is considered to adopt a “closed-market” approach due to overly-strict regulations.

Vietnam’s corporate bond market has grown strongly in recent times but been accompanied by risks regarding product quality. Management agencies must therefore warn investors and at the same time take drastic action to ensure the market reaches its potential to develop stably. The market now accounts for nearly 17 per cent of GDP and has become an important medium and long-term funding channel for businesses.

Certain shortcomings have become apparent as rooftop solar power begins to develop, such as local overloads in some localities and a number of power companies violating legal provisions during implementation.
