Thai Nguyen unable to upgrade National Highway 1B
The 145-km National Highway No. 1B is an important route connecting northern Thai Nguyen province and northern mountainous provinces with Lang Son province, facilitating trade with China through the Huu Nghi border gate. The highway will not receive necessary upgrades within the next five years, however, because the Ministry of Transport has been unable to allocate medium-term public investment capital.
