Demand for coal at thermal power plants rising

Coal demand at thermal power plants under Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) will be about 9 million tons over the closing five months of 2022. It is expected that coal demand will be much higher in the first half of 2023 than this year.

2M electricity production up 6.1%

According to Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), total electricity production in the entire network in the first 2 months of 2022 stood at 39.59 billion kWh, up 6.1 per cent year-on-year. Renewable energy reached 6.65 billion kWh, accounting for 16.8 per cent of the total.
