A ceremony was held on June 17 to inaugurate Terminal 2 at Phu Bai International Airport in central Thua Thien-Hue province.
Construction began in 2019 with total investment of nearly VND2.3 trillion ($97.7 million).
Covering an area of over 22,380 sq m, the terminal will cater to 5 million passengers a year.
This is the first terminal of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to apply digital transformation, upgrade digital infrastructure, and digitalize operational processes to standardize operational procedures and provide greater convenience to passengers.
Terminal operations are expected to help facilitate socio-economic development in the province and boost regional connectivity.
