The Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has asked relevant departments and agencies to take measures to tackle obstacles in exploiting and supplying construction materials for key projects in the north-central province.

The provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment is asked to focus on removing obstacles relating to land compensation, support, and resettlement as well as changes in the land use purpose for forest or rice cultivation to enable project construction and the exploitation of construction materials.

It will accelerate the bidding of mines for construction material exploitation, with priority given to those located near key projects.

Authorities in districts and communes will continue reviewing new mines to make additions to provincial planning.

Many projects in Thanh Hoa have been delayed due to a shortage of construction materials.
