Tra fish export to US marks record high in 2024

Vietnam’s tra fish (pangasius) export turnover to the US reached over $12 million by the end of November last year, representing a 21-fold increase year-on-year, the Government News has reported.

The figure marks a record high over the past 10 years, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).

In last November alone, tra fish export value to the US reached over $2 million, up 42 times compared to the same period of 2023.

The US is currently the second largest export market for pangasius of Vietnam. Vietnamese pangasius products exported to the US include frozen fillets, value-added products, dried pangasius and other frozen products.
