US initiates anti-dumping duty review on Vietnamese honey

Vũ Khuê -

Covering the period from August 25, 2021 to May 31, 2023, the review targets Vietnamese honey exporters.

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) issued a notice on August 3, 2023 initiating the first administrative review of anti-dumping duties imposed on honey from Vietnam, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV) at the Ministry of Industry and Trade has said.

The review is being conducted at the request of US importers.

Covering the period from August 25, 2021 to May 31, 2023, the review targets Vietnamese businesses that export honey to the US.

According to TRAV, if a producer or exporter named in the notice of initiation made no exports, sales, or entries during the period of review, it must notify DOC within 30 days of publication of the notice, which is expected to be September 2, 2023.

As regulated, within 35 days of publication of the initiation, DOC will make a decision regarding respondent selection.

Within 90 days of publication of the initiation, a party that has requested a review may withdraw that request.

DOC will publish the results of the first anti-dumping duty administrative review on honey from Vietnam on June 30, 2024 at the latest.
