Citizens from 12 countries will be granted visa-free entry to Vietnam for stays of up to 45 days for tourism purposes, regardless of passport type, according to a report from the Vietnam News Agency.

Under the Government's Resolution No. 229/NQ-CP, dated August 8, 2025, the exemptions will be applicable to nationals of Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

In the seven months of 2025, about 12.23 million international visitors travelled to Vietnam, up 22.5% year-on-year, according to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism.
