Vietnam was selected as one of three “focus countries” at World Food India 2023, which took place on November 3-5 in New Delhi, the Voice of Vietnam has reported.
In a pavilion covering over 200 sq m, Vietnamese businesses and manufacturers showcased typical agricultural products and processed food at the expo, which was organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries for the second time since 2017.
India’s food market is huge and much space is available for Vietnamese businesses to explore trade opportunities. Taking part in World Food India 2023 therefore offered a good chance to learn about consumption trends in India and the world and to meet with potential Indian exporters-importers.
“This is a significant event for Vietnamese companies as it opens opportunities to boost cooperation in trade and economics between businesses from the two countries, particularly in Vietnam’s key export items,” said Vietnam Trade Counsellor in India, Bui Trung Thuong.
“Vietnamese farm produce, including dragon fruit and coffee, are popular in the world’s most populous country of 1.4 billion people. So, this is a great opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to promote products and integrate more deeply into the Indian market,”
World Food India 2023 hosted a seminar on November 5 to introduce the potential and strengths of Vietnam and India’s agriculture and food processing sectors as well as cooperative opportunities.
