The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs' Department of Overseas Labor has issued a document urging enterprises sending Vietnamese workers to the Middle East to strengthen security and safety measures for workers in conflict areas or areas at risk of conflict.

Due to the ongoing complex and unpredictable situation in some Middle Eastern countries, including Lebanon, Iran, and Israel, Vietnamese workers in the region may face adverse psychological impacts and unstable employment and living conditions.

In response, the Department of Overseas Labor requires enterprises to regularly contact workers, host partners, resident representatives, and Vietnamese diplomatic representatives in conflict areas to monitor and update the workers' situation. This will enable enterprises to provide timely support when needed.

Enterprises should also request their partners to implement security and safety measures for Vietnamese workers and promptly notify local authorities of any issues. Additionally, enterprises should strengthen worker management, advising them to comply with regulations to ensure safety at their places of residence and work.

In case of any issues related to workers, enterprises should promptly report to Vietnamese diplomatic representatives, the Department of Overseas Labor, and relevant authorities to receive advice and support and ensure the protection of workers' legitimate rights and interests, the ministry requested.
