Within the Vietnam New Economy Forum 2023, with the theme “New economic models to promote breakthrough growth and sustainable development”, the Top 10 and Top 50 Vietnamese Excellent Brands 2022-2023 were also announced.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Vietnamese Excellent Brands program, organized by VnEconomy / Vietnam Economic Times (VET). 

Dr. Chu Van Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Tap chi Kinh te Viet Nam / VnEconomy / Vietnam Economic Times (VET), told the gathering that the requirement for brand development to increase the opportunities to reach out to international markets and participate in global supply chains has become more important than ever. “In that context, VnEconomy / VET pioneered the initiative to develop the Vietnamese Excellent Brands program,” he said. “Over the past 20 years, we have persistently developed a strong Vietnamese brand community, and have accompanied thousands of businesses, helping with the development and enhancement of Vietnamese brands.”

In attendance were representatives from central departments, ministries, and associations, together with domestic and international economic analysts and nearly 300 leaders from Vietnamese Excellent Brand businesses nationwide.

The voting criteria included creativity, innovation, sustainable development, the application of digital technology in production and business activities, and adjustments and changes to corporate governance models to meet the needs of customers and markets and the requirements of the new era.

The Top 10 Vietnamese Excellent Brands 2023 include the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel), the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), the Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), Vingroup, the FPT Corporation, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), and the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank).

The Top 10 Excellent Brands - Outstanding Business Performance include the Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank), the Ecopark Group, the TH Group, the Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC), the Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank), the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), the Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company (HPG), the Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB), the Thai Binh Investment Joint Stock Company (TBS Group), and the TVP Steel Joint Stock Company (TVP Steel).

The Top 10 Excellent Brands - Impressive Growth include VinFast, Precious Prestigie Logistics (PPL), the Vietnam Construction Import-Export Corporation (VINACONEX), the Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Vietjet Air), Thien Nam Elevator (TNE), the Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank), the Tan Long Group, the FPT Digital Retail Joint Stock Company (FPT Retail), the Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Nam A Bank), and the Golden Gate Group Joint Stock Company (Golden Gate).

The Top 10 Excellent Brands - Pioneer of Innovation include the Vietnam Post Express Joint Stock Corporation (EMS), the Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank), the Sai Gon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank), the Vietnam Payment Solution Joint Stock Company (VNPay), the Vietnam Post Corporation (VNPost), the DNSE Securities JSC (DNSE), the Rang Dong Light Source & Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company (Rang Dong), TBS Logistics, the Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB), and the Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank).

The Top 10 Excellent Brands - Green Growth include the PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo), the Geleximco Group, Flamingo Holdings, the An Cuong Wood Working JSC, the Vietnam Electric Cable Corporation (CADIVI), the Duy Tan Plastic Production Joint Stock Company, the An Phuoc Shoes Garment Embroidery Company Limited, the Garment 10 Joint Stock Company (Garco 10), the Viet Dung Aluminum Joint Stock Company, and the SAFOCO Foodstuff Joint Stock Company (Safoco).

The Top 10 Excellent Brands - Sustainable Development include the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB), the Agriculture Bank Insurance Joint - Stock Corporation (ABIC), the Masterise Group Joint Stock Company (Masterise Group), the Sun Hospitality Group, the BRG Group, the Tan A Dai Thanh Group JSC, the Vietnam Animal Industry Company (Vissan), the Hoa Sen Group, the Nam Long Group (NLG), the Post and Telecommunication Joint Stock Insurance Corporation (PTI), the Phu Long Real Estate Joint Stock Company, the Cotana Group Joint Stock Company (Cotana), the TNS Holdings Trading Service Joint Stock Company (TNG), the Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Vietinbank), the Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (VINARE), the Vietnam National Aviation Insurance JSC (VNI), the Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Soft Drink Joint Stock Company (Sanvinest Khanh Hoa), and the Phuc Long Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. To mark the 20th anniversary of the Vietnam Excellent Brands program, the Organizing Board also honored five excellent entrepreneurs recording outstanding success, including Mr. Nguyen Doan Thang, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Rang Dong Light Source & Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company (Rang Dong), Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the BRG Group, Mr. Vu Van Tien, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Geleximco Group, Ms. Ha Thi Thu Thanh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Deloitte Vietnam, and Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Global General Director of VinFast.
