Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah agreed to instruct relevant ministries and agencies to concretize results of the former’s recent visit to Kuwait, focusing on energy, food security, Halal and tourism, during their phones talks held on March 9.
PM Chinh expressed his deep concern over the developments of the current conflict in the Middle East, calling on relevant parties to exercise restraint, promote efforts to reduce tensions, seek solutions to peace in the region on the basis of respect for international law, the United Nations Charter, and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of all relevant sides, affirming Vietnam's readiness to actively make contributions to this process.
In the face of complex evolution of the conflict, PM Chinh called on Kuwait to ensure security and safety for the Vietnamese community there, and to create favorable conditions for Vietnam to evacuate its nationals.
Responding to the Vietnamese PM's proposal, the Kuwaiti PM agreed to work with relevant partners to consider sustaining crude oil supply for Vietnam and deepen energy collaboration in the coming time.
