Total disbursement of public investment capital sourced from foreign loans in the first 11 months of the year reached over VND3.28 trillion ($128 million), according to the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
The figure is equivalent to 39.06% of the annual target set by the Government.
According to Prime Ministerial Decision No 1603/QD-TTg, dated December 11, 2023, total foreign capital assigned for relevant ministries and sectors from the state budget in 2024 stood at nearly VND9.35 trillion ($367 million).
There are two out of 10 ministries and sectors disbursed over 50% of their assigned capital, including the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (87.76%) and the Ministry of Transport (58.35%).
The MoF said the low disbursement of foreign loans was blamed for delay in implementation of projects.
Meanwhile, disbursement of domestic public investment capital in the period is estimated at 53.16% of the annual plan.
