$31mln to be invested in developing supporting industry

The government has decided to invest in a program on developing Vietnam’s supporting industry during the 2021-2025 period with funding of VND870.7 billion ($36.2 million).

Of this, VND750.2 billion ($31.2 million) will be allocated from the State budget.

The program will focus on connecting and helping businesses in the supporting industry become suppliers for both domestic and foreign customers and will also organize trade promotion activities to attract foreign investment in the supporting industry.

Businesses will also gain assistance in high-quality human resources training, research and development and application and transfer of technology in production.

The program will connect with domestic and foreign experts to provide direct support for businesses.
