$465mln expressway to be built connecting northern border gates

Project linking border gates in Lang Son province to be built in the BOT mode.

The Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee has approved a project to build an expressway connecting the northern province’s Huu Nghi and Chi Lang border gates in the build-operate-transfer form.

The expressway will have a total length of 59.87 km, including 43.43 km connecting the two border gates and 16.44 km connecting the expressway with the Tan Thanh and Coc Nam border gates.

The entire route will have 39 bridges.

Total investment capital is estimated at VND11.179 trillion ($465.8 million), of which 55.27 per cent will be mobilized from the investors.

The expressway is designed to have six lanes and a roadbed width of 32.25 meters.

Investors will be selected in the first quarter of 2024.
