The Ministry of Transport has required the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to check the operational licenses of air transport businesses to make sure they meet current regulations.

Businesses found to fail to comply with regulations will be punished.

Inspection results must be sent to the ministry before March 8.

There are six airlines licensed to operate in Vietnam: national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, and the Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO).

Inspections are made periodically under government decrees on conditional business lines in the civil aviation industry and on air transport business and aviation activities.
