An Giang calls for investment in IPs, urban areas and logistics

Greater investment needed to tap Mekong Delta province’s potential.

Authorities in the Mekong Delta’s An Giang province have called for investors in 40 key projects from now to 2025 in the fields of urban infrastructure, industry, and trade.

Fifteen projects are building urban and housing areas, including the construction of a high-tech industrial urban area in Binh Hoa commune with estimated investment of VND2.61 trillion ($110 million); the construction of the An Chau urban area in Chau Thanh district with an estimated VND1.74 trillion ($73.4 million); and the construction of the An Chau water ecological urban area in Chau Thanh district with estimated investment of over VND1.87 trillion ($79 million).

Nine projects are in trade, services, and tourism, including the construction of the Bung Binh Thien tourism area with an estimated VND600 billion ($25.45 million), and the construction of a logistics center at the Tinh Bien international border gate in Tinh Bien district with estimated investment of VND2.1 trillion ($89 million).

There are also 16 industrial projects, including the construction of the Dinh Thanh Industrial Park in Thoai Son district with an estimated cost of VND1 trillion ($42 million) and the Xuan To Industrial Park in Tinh Bien district with an estimated VND2.5 trillion ($105 million).
