The Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan has assigned the local Department of Home Affairs to consider establishment of a Provincial Labor Supply Association. The initiative aims to foster healthy competition in human resource supply among businesses.
The assignment resulted from his recent working session with Luxshare-ICT Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Van Trung Industrial Park) and FUYU Precision Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Foxconn Vietnam Group (Quang Chau Industrial Park), to discuss the production situation during and after storms and floods.
In response to the proposals and recommendations from these businesses, representatives from provincial functional agencies clarified several issues, including: labor recruitment, electricity supply, drainage, resolving traffic congestion during peak hours, domestic water supply, waste treatment, and immediate and long-term solutions to combat flooding and protect production in industrial parks.
Regarding the slow drainage in industrial parks, Mr. Tuan assigned the Management Board of Provincial Industrial Parks to coordinate with the agriculture and environment sectors to review and comprehensively calculate the total drainage capacity of the industrial parks.
Individual businesses were also required to conduct surveys and develop plans for building reservoirs and holding tanks. These features should be integrated into the premises, landscaping, and green spaces, while also serving to buffer water during heavy rainfall.
The Provincial People's Committee Chairman assigned the People's Committee of Nenh Ward to coordinate with industrial park investors to expedite land clearance for green spaces, allowing for investment in regulating lakes for water storage within the industrial parks. This land clearance must be completed by the end of this year at the latest, so that the construction of regulating lakes in industrial parks can commence in Q1/2026.
Concerning labor supply, high labor demand, and intense competition for human resources, Mr. Tuan assigned the Department of Home Affairs to propose the research and establishment a Labor Supply Association.
He asked the Department of Construction to lead and coordinate with the Management Board of IIndustrial Parks, infrastructure investors, relevant departments, sectors, and localities to identify land funds in industrial parks and surrounding areas. This is for the planning and construction of social housing and worker housing, coupled with ensuring cultural facilities.
