The building of Vietnam’s carbon market’s institutional, technical, and regulatory foundations has proceeded apace since the carbon exchange came into being on June 29, a recent forum heard.
By ownership structure, the list comprises 99 private-sector companies, 73 State-owned enterprises (SOEs), and 28 foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) and joint ventures.
Major efforts are now focused on meeting annual targets for public investment disbursement given the importance of the capital source and its spillover effects.
This is one of the regulations stipulated in newly-issued Decree No. 284/2026/ND-CP on administrative penalties for crypto assets and the crypto asset market, taking effect from September 1.
