Major tasks and solutions to improve the country’s business environment and sharpen its competitiveness in 2024 have been identified in Government Resolution No. 2/NQ-CP, dated January 5, facilitating new business initiatives and innovations and reducing cost and risk for businesses, according to a report from the Government News.
Under targets outlined in the Resolution, by 2025, Vietnam will be among the top 50 countries in UN sustainable development rankings, and climb at least three places in the World Intellectual Property Organization’s global innovation index.
Its global e-government ranking is expected to jump up by at least five notches, while the country is projected to climb at least four places in the logistics performance index. Vietnam is also expected to be among the top 30 countries in the International Telecommunication Union’s global cyber-security index.
The resolution also targets increasing the number of new digital enterprises by at least 10 per cent compared to 2023 numbers.
