He made the comments in greetings exchanged with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong on February 2 on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year.

For his part, Party General Secretary Trong expressed his wish that all sectors, administrations at all levels, and localities in both countries will grasp and effectively implement high-level agreements and common perceptions reached between the two countries, promoting the development of the Vietnam-China relationship in a healthy, stable, extensive, substantive, and efficient manner.

The leaders expressed delight at the positive development and significant progress in relations between the two Parties and the two countries across all fields.

They particularly valued the significance and diverse outcomes of the State-level visit to Vietnam by the Chinese Party and State leader in December, which included the issuance of a joint statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries, and the signing of 36 cooperative agreements.
