Corporate bond issuances totaling over VND148.7 trillion ($5.84 billion) so far this year, up 33% year-on-year, according to the MB Securities (MBS).
The average bond interest rate stayed at 7.4% annually.
The banking sector was the largest issuer with bond value worth over VND96.2 trillion ($3.78 billion), surging 140% compared to the same period last year, and accounting for 65% of the total.
Joint stock commercial banks have promoted the issuance of corporate bonds in order to enhance their mid- and long-term capital sources to meet increasing capital demand of businesses amid the context the credit growth reaching 6% in the first half of the year and is forecast to increase to 14% in the last months of 2024.
The real estate sector ranked the second with a total issuance value of VND32.6 trillion ($1.28 billion).
