The Da Nang City People’s Council has passed a resolution approving a proposal to convert 79 ha of land for planted forest and production forest to other purposes, including industrial production, tourism-services, and livelihoods.

The land is located in Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts.

Under an earlier proposal from the Da Nang City People’s Committee, the converted land includes 29.73 ha of production forest land belonging to the Lang Van Tourism Resort and Entertainment Complex in Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district; 43.88 ha of production forest land at the Hoa Ninh Industrial Park in Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district; 0.46 ha of production forest land at the Hoa Bac Technical Logistics Base in Hoa Vang district; and 4.95 ha of production forest land at the Khanh Son Solid Waste Treatment Complex in the second phase.

These are reportedly major projects in Da Nang.
