Four airports in central region resume operations

Da Nang, Phu Bai, Dong Hoi, and Chu Lai airports that had suspended operations since October 27 early morning have reopened.

Based on weather forecasts, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has allowed four airports in central region, including Da Nang (in Dang Nang city), Phu Bai (in Thua Thien – Hue province), Dong Hoi (in Quang Binh province), and Chu Lai (in Quang Nam province), to resume their operations on October 27 afternoon as the typhoon Trami has weakened.

Accordingly, Da Nang and Phu Bai airports have resumed their operations from 4:00 pm; Chu Lai airport from 1:00 pm; and Dong Hoi airport from 5:00 pm on October 27.

Earlier, on October 26, the CAAV had requesred the four airports to halt their operations from October 27 morning, due to impacts from typhoon Trami.
