The FPT International Telecommunications Company Limited (FTI) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Aruba and AWING on September 20 in an effort to provide non-optimal network solutions for retail, hotel, and F&B chains.
Mr. Tran Hai Duong, Chairman and General Director of FTI, said wireless network systems at retail chains, culinary business models, restaurants, and dining, entertainment, and shopping venues have not received synchronous investment. Many businesses are using networking devices from different brands, leading to difficulties in management and costly resources for operating as well as maintaining and upgrading the system.
Therefore, FTI has joined hands with Aruba to bring synchronous and optimal solutions for businesses from a centralized management system via cloud computing with high quality and a cost that is suitable for all businesses. AWING, meanwhile, is a platform for mobile location-based marketing according to the sharing economy model, which can bring revenue to businesses that own wireless networks to continuously reinvest in improving service quality and customer satisfaction. AWING is positioned as a marketing channel standing between online and offline, targeting people who are consuming services while outside the home.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), Vietnam’s retail industry has a market size of $142 billion, which is expected to increase to $350 billion by 2025, contributing 59 per cent of GDP. Achieving these impressive numbers is partly due to the efforts of Vietnamese businesses to invest in network systems and information technology management.
