Northern Hai Phong port city has attracted over $3.3 billion worth of investment capital so far this year.

The city authorities granted the investment certificates to 11 FDI and domestic projects in industrial parks and economic zones on January 16. Of which, there are 6 FDI projects with a total investment capital of $122.65 million.

Hai Phong attracted $4.94 billion of FDI capital in 2024, ranking 2nd nationwide in terms of FDI capital, after Bac Ninh ($5.12 billion). 

The city has so far attracted 1,000 FDI projects from 42 countries and territories, totaling $32.6 billion.

Additionally, domestic investments amount to 231 projects worth $13.7 billion, primarily concentrated in manufacturing and processing industries.
