Ports in northern Hai Phong city reported a cargo throughput of nearly 40 million tons in 2024, according to the Hai Phong Port JSC.

Container port throughput was estimated at nearly 2 million TEUs.

The company’s total revenue reached over VND2.91 trillion ($113 million). Pre-tax profit was estimated at VND1.165 trillion ($45.5 million).

Looking ahead, Hai Phong Port plans to start operations of phase 1 of berth 3 at Lach Huyen in the first quarter of 2025, which is expected to further bolster business development. It will also upgrade Chua Ve port to enable it to accommodate vessels of up to 40,000 DWT.

In 2024, Hai Phong Port established two significant joint ventures with SITC and TIL (a subsidiary of the Global Container Shipping Company). The Hai Phong Port TIL International Terminal Co., Ltd. is tasked with operating container berths 3 and 4 at the Lach Huyen International Gateway Port project.
