More than 76 million passengers passing through airports nationwide during the first seven months of 2026, while cargo transported by Vietnamese airlines totaling nearly 267,000 tons.
The volume of goods passing through Vietnam’s seaports in the first quarter of 2022 totaled nearly 180 million tons, up 4 per cent year-on-year, of which container cargo rose 6 per cent to nearly 6.3 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units).
The volume of goods passing through Vietnam’s seaport network in January slowed, to an estimated 60 million tons, but will maintain a strong increase during the year as a whole, according to the Vietnam Maritime Administration. The Ministry of Transport has set a target of cargo passing through ports in 2022 to increase 3 per cent compared to 2021, reaching 750 million tons.
