The Hanoi People’s Committee has asked relevant agencies to clarify responsibilities and impose penalties on individuals found to have committed wrongdoings or caused waste at six public investment projects.

Projects include upgrading the Tich River and building dormitories for students at the Phap Van - Tu Hiep new residential area, the Hanoi Museum, a section of urban railway from Nam Thang Long to Tran Hung Dao, the Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway line, and the Yen Xa wastewater treatment system.

These were found to use public investment capital and other State capital sources ineffectively, causing waste, according to local authorities.

The committee also asked the municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment to handle shortcomings and punish individuals involved in the tardy implementation of two housing projects in outlying Me Linh district.
