South-central Phu Yen province will auction the land use rights for three housing projects with a total area of more than 50,000 sq m, a population of over 5,000 people, and total investment of some VND4 trillion ($170.8 million). The province has set a target of reaching a per capita housing area of 28 sq m by 2025 and 31.7 sq m by 2030.

Hanoi is facing pressure from housing demand due to rapid population growth. The capital is currently implementing 149 housing projects, including 92 in commercial housing, equivalent to nearly 35 million sq m of floor space, and 57 in social housing, or 6.6 million sq m.

The prices of houses and certain types of real estate in most localities are on an upwards trajectory. Projects with central locations in major cities have very high prices, at up to VND650-800 million ($28,550-$35,145) per sq m. Despite the prices, however, transaction numbers continue to increase.
