Hanoi to assess worker demand among foreign investors

Nhật Dương -

Capital looking to sustainably develop labor market.

Hanoi will review and assess human resources demand in each sector and region to supply the necessary workforce in a timely manner, especially those needed by foreign investors, according to city authorities.

This is part of a plan on developing the labor market in a flexible, modern, effective, sustainable, and integrated manner, with the aim of boosting socio-economic recovery.

Hanoi has set a target of having 75-80 per cent of workers undergo training by 2025, with 55.5 per cent to gain certificates or degrees.

Average workplace productivity growth is to reach 7 per cent a year.

Agricultural workers are to represent 25 per cent of the total by 2025.

To fulfill its targets, the capital will invest in modernizing the Hanoi Job Services Center, which will serve as a focal point for information on the labor market and coordinating and supporting the market.
