The Hanoi People’s Committee has proposed to pilot a public administrative service center to improve public administrative services for people and businesses.
The center will operate basing on the city's Administrative Procedure Information System, which will be connected to the National Public Service Portal, national databases, specialized databases, and shared platform systems.
The center will accept administrative applications from any location in Hanoi, helping to reduce the number of single-window administrative service points and innovate the submission of administrative applications and processing of administrative procedures, thus contributing to cutting costs and processing time.
The establishment of the center will reduce the number of single-window offices from 673 to 30 branches and decrease the number of civil servants handling administrative procedures from 2,768 to 184, according to the municipal People’s Committee.
It is expected to ensure citizens can access public services within a 30-minute travel radius or no more than 5 km, with 24/7 service availability.
Hanoi will be the first locality to pilot the project as directed by the Prime Minister.
The municipal People's Council is expected to approve the project at its upcoming session scheduled to open on September 30, 2024.
