The Construction Department of Ho Chi Minh City has proposed the municipal People’s Committee to establish an interdisciplinary task force to help accelerate social housing projects.
The task force, to be chaired by a leader of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment, will take measures to tackle difficulties and obstacles facing the projects, particularly helping investors to complete related procedures to kick off construction of projects.
There are currently 26 projects pending for completion of legal procedures.
HCM City targets to build 67,900 – 93,000 social houses by 2030, including 26,200 – 35,000 units to be built in the 2021-2025 period.
