These projects have already received approved detailed planning and are part of the Mekong Delta city’s portfolio to invite independent social housing investment.
The construction scale includes four social housing apartment blocks with approximately 1,326 units, two clusters of adjacent commercial townhouses (approximately 40 units), and a five-story commercial and service building.
Once completed, the project is expected to provide over 1,900 apartments, primarily serving low-income earners, industrial workers, and members of the armed forces.
Authorities are reviewing commercial housing projects to ensure they adhere to regulations requiring a 20% land allocation for social housing construction.
In tandem with these efforts, the Ministry of Construction will focus on stabilizing the real estate market to ensure safe, healthy, and sustainable growth.
Four ongoing projects—totaling 2,874 units—are expected to be completed by the end of 2025, ensuring the city meets its social housing target for the year.
