HCM City hosts exhibitions on smart cities, education and advanced technologies

Vietnam’s leading international exhibition series on smart cities, education and advanced technologies opened in Ho Chi Minh City on May 6, bringing together hundreds of domestic and foreign exhibitors amid the country’s accelerating digital transformation drive.

The events — Smart City Asia, Education Vietnam and LEDTEC Asia — showcase innovations in smart cities, smart education, IoT, robotics, smart lighting and other advanced technologies.

Organisers said the exhibitions are expected to create new opportunities for international cooperation and technology exchange as Vietnam pushes ahead with the development of the digital economy, digital society, green urbanisation and sustainable growth.

The exhibition series also aims to connect three core pillars of smart city development: education to build a digitally skilled workforce, infrastructure to improve quality of life, and digital technologies to enhance urban governance and operational efficiency.

Running through May 8, the events feature more than 450 exhibitors from multiple countries and territories, displaying a broad range of cutting-edge products, technologies and smart solutions.
