HCM City's tourism revenue hits $303 mln in nine-day Tet holiday

Some 87,358 international tourists visited the southern city during Tet.

The tourism sector of Ho Chi Minh City posted an estimated revenue of VND7.69 trillion ($303 million) during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday (Tet), a year-on-year increase of 17.4%, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

During the nine-day holiday that ended on February 2, the city welcomed 87,358 international tourists, up 16.5% year-on-year.

The surge in international tourist arrivals also contributed to a significant rise in hotel occupancy rates, which soared by 44.4% compared to the same period last year.

Since late 2024, the city offered various new tourism products at competitive prices, along with attractive discounts to attract tourists.
