The People’s Council of the centrally-run city of Hue has passed a resolution approving a zoning plan for the Huong Lam Industrial Park, located within the A Dot Border Gate Economic Zone in A Luoi District.
According to the approved plan, the projected industrial park will span approximately 140 ha across Lam Dot and Dong Son communes, with the potential to create 4,000–5,000 jobs.
The development will feature four primary functional zones: a service zone housing an operation center and support facilities; an industrial production zone prioritizing land for SMEs, innovative enterprises, and entities eligible for investment incentives; a technical infrastructure zone; and a green space and water surface zone.
Roughly 77.92 ha—or 55.7% of the total area—will be allocated for industrial production and warehousing, with the remainder designated for supporting infrastructure and green amenities.
Aligned with its strategic development goals, the industrial park will focus on attracting industries that can capitalize on local raw materials.
Targeted sectors include: wood processing and the manufacture of timber products; construction materials; agricultural product processing, including rubber, coffee, and animal feed; garment and leather footwear manufacturing; as well as other qualifying industries.
