The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector of central Da Nang city earned revenue of more than VND39.8 trillion ($1.55 billion) in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 9.07%, figures from the city’s Department of Information and Communications show.

Of which, software export turnover contributed $165 million, up 11.6% year-on-year.

The sector continues to be one of the city’s key industries, said Mr. Nguyen Quang Thanh, Director of the department. Digital economic development is considered one of drivers promoting the city’s socio-economic development.

The sector’s added value in 2024 was estimated at over VND10.26 trillion ($401 million), equal to 6.8% of the the central city's GRDP.

The city has maintained its leading position in terms of readiness for ICT development and application, topping the Vietnam ICT Index rankings for another year in 2024.
