The information and communications technology (ICT) sector earned revenue of $20.6 billion in the first two months of 2023, a year-on-year increase of 5 per cent, figures from the Ministry of Information and Communications show.
This included $8.2 billion from exporting hardware and electronics, up 4 per cent year-on-year.
The sector targets revenue of $165 billion in 2023, $175 billion in 2024, and $185 billion in 2025.
Revenue reached $148 billion last year, an increase of 8.7 per cent year-on-year.
The number of digital technology firms in Vietnam increased to 70,000 in 2022, up 9.6 per cent against the previous year. The number is expected to hit 80,000 by 2050.
