Vietnam’s information and communications sector earned revenue of over VND3.36 quadrillion ($140 billion) in the first eleven months of this year, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Turnover hit VND358.3 trillion ($14.9 billion) in November alone, a year-on-year increase of 12 per cent.
The information and communications technology (ICT) industry recorded turnover of over VND3 quadrillion ($125 billion) during the eleven-month period, including $107.8 billion from exporting hardware and electronics.
There were 915 cyber attacks in November, up 9.3 per cent against November 2022.
The ministry also reported that the digital economy accounted for 16.56 per cent of GDP growth in the third quarter of the year, rising 8.5 per cent year-on-year.
