The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially launched the Vietnam Cultural Digital Map Platform (CMAP) on the evening of November 1 at the Temple of Literature (Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam), a Special National Relic Site in Hanoi.

Designed to create a visual and comprehensive cultural information space, the platform is available at cmap.vn and aims to digitize and connect cultural resources on a single platform. Through CMAP, residents and visitors can easily search for and explore cultural events, heritage sites, museums, and distinctive cultural activities across all 34 provinces and centrally governed cities of Vietnam.

More than just a location-search tool, CMAP is positioned as a comprehensive digital information platform for the country's cultural, sports, and tourism infrastructure. It provides continuously updated information on cultural and artistic events, traditional festivals, community sports competitions, and heritage tourism itineraries in real time. By integrating a wide range of data fields, the platform helps build a broad yet specialized digital cultural ecosystem.

For citizens and tourists, CMAP offers a convenient channel to learn about heritage sites, events, cultural activities, and destinations, helping them plan their travel and cultural experiences. Products such as night tours at the Temple of Literature and experiential activities linked to traditional craft villages, local cuisine, and regional culture can become valuable resources for public exploration as more information is added to the platform.

In addition, users can actively search for and locate cultural and sporting events taking place near their current geographic location. This feature is expected to strengthen community engagement and enhance public access to cultural experiences.

The platform also provides information on promotional programs and preferential policies, enabling residents and visitors to access tourism and experience packages more easily. This feature helps the public optimize costs and choose services that best suit their needs, while also creating an effective channel for organizations to promote their products, stimulate consumption, and attract visitors to Vietnam’s cultural heritage values.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, called on all citizens, particularly young people, to visit the Vietnam Cultural Digital Map Platform, choose a cultural activity to participate in with family and friends, and share their positive experiences with the wider community.
