Nearly 300 enterprises from eight countries and territories are participating in the 10th Vietfood & Beverage - Propack Vietnam 2024, a major international exhibition for food, beverage, and processing technology equipment and packaging.
The event, which runs from November 6 to 9, is expected to draw over 10,000 visitors, the Voice of Vietnam reported.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), highlighted Vietnam's robust economic growth in recent years, emphasizing the food and beverage industry's pivotal role in this development.
According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Vietnamese F&B market is projected to reach VND 655 trillion (US$26 billion) in 2024, representing a growth rate of approximately 10.92 percent compared to the previous year.
The exhibition serves as a platform for domestic and international businesses to explore market opportunities, forge partnerships, and promote trade and investment.
This year's event is particularly focused on showcasing new trends in product development and technology, along with sustainable approaches to production, processing, and packaging within the F&B industry.
“This exhibition will empower businesses and visitors to grasp emerging trends in products, new technologies in the food and beverage industry, and innovative approaches to production, processing, packaging, and consumption of food and beverages in the near future," he said.
"Simultaneously, the exhibition presents an invaluable opportunity for businesses to learn, connect, and foster cooperative business relationships with domestic and international enterprises, manufacturers, and distributors, ultimately contributing to the expansion of global production and supply chains,” Mr. Phong added.
The event features specialized programs, including trade connection activities, seminars, and workshops on market standards, production processes, and supply chains.
