The Investment and Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC) on October 1 signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Arobid Technology Joint Stock Company to deploy the former's Digital Trade & Investment Platform.

The collaboration aligns with Prime Ministerial Decision No. 1968/QD-TTg, which targets conducting 60 percent of trade fairs and exhibitions on digital platforms between 2025 and 2030, alongside Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Under the partnership framework, ITPC oversees platform management, policy alignment, and municipal data governance, while Arobid provides technological infrastructure, integrates global B2B marketplace features, and delivers AI tools for business matchmaking and data optimization.

A core component of the initiative is the Digital Trade Expo, designed to complement rather than replace physical exhibitions by engaging partners before, during, and after events.

ITPC Director Pham Quang Nhat stated that digital transformation in trade promotion involves reorganizing the entire investor journey around centralized data. Municipal data governance principles require all platform data to remain city property stored at Ho Chi Minh City’s central data warehouse to support decision-making while ensuring data accuracy and security.

Arobid Chairman and Co-founder Tran Van Chin noted that the platform aims to reduce promotion costs, shorten networking cycles, and connect local businesses with international partners across the country's Southeast and Mekong Delta regions.

Mr. Hoang Trung Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association, added that integrating AI into promotion efforts provides essential digital extension to traditional physical showcases.
