Organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, Ho Chi Minh City Export 2026 will take place on October 22-24, at the WTC Expo International Exhibition Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
The exhibition aims to showcase high-quality Vietnamese products, enhance brand value, and expand market access for domestic enterprises.
According to Mr. Pham Van Danh, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, a key feature of this year’s event is the “on-site export” mechanism. International buyers can inspect products at the expo before visiting factories and material zones directly, streamlining supplier evaluation and contract negotiations.
To support the hybrid format, the Technical Support and Sustainable Development Center (CSED) under the Department of Industry and Trade partnered with Arobid Technology Joint Stock Company to launch Expo Platform. This dedicated digital infrastructure integrates B2B e-commerce, big data analytics, and AI algorithms to analyze buyer preferences, match business opportunities, and maintain year-round trading connections.
The digital platform supports the newly announced HCMC Export Digital Trade Expo series, comprising 12 specialized events scheduled across 2026 and 2027 tailored to specific industries, markets, and economic themes.
“Instead of traveling abroad to expand markets, domestic businesses can connect with international buyers on-site through the digital platform, saving significant time and operational costs,” Mr. Danh said, adding that the platform will operate prior to the physical event to enable early matchmaking and remote communication.
Mr. Tran Van Chin, Chairman and Co-founder of Arobid Technology JSC, noted that Expo Platform is designed to digitize trade promotion into a continuous operational environment. “The platform extends the fair’s reach domestically and internationally, creating a 24/7/365 trade promotion space,” he said.
The announcement comes as Ho Chi Minh City maintains strong economic momentum. In the first eight months of 2026, the city's industrial production index grew 10.8 percent year-on-year.
Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached more than VND1.3 quadrillion ($49.73 billion), up 13.7 percent, while total export turnover hit $65.8 billion, representing a 7.82 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Ho Chi Minh City Export 2026 is expected to feature 750 booths highlighting key export sectors, including textiles, footwear, processed food, Halal products, wooden furniture, handicrafts, home appliances, and hardware tools. Export support services such as logistics, testing, insurance, banking, and e-commerce solutions will also be showcased.
To date, 21 foreign trade delegations with 103 international buyers from the United States, France, Canada, Hungary, Sri Lanka, Singapore, China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Dubai, Thailand, South Korea, and Japan have registered to attend the event.
